Attensi aims to make QuizRace accessible to, and usable by, people with a wide range of abilities and users of assistive technologies. This Accessibility Statement distinguishes between current accessibility targets and verified conformance, and explains how to report an accessibility barrier.
1 Standards and Scope
1.1 QuizRace targets conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the Platform. Relevant procurement and legal requirements may also include Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act, EN 301 549, the European Accessibility Act (applicable from 28 June 2025), and Norway’s Equality and Anti-Discrimination Act and associated ICT accessibility regulations.
1.2 A conformance target does not constitute a claim that every page, App, Game, third-party component or user-created quiz conforms to that target. QuizRace is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which means that some parts of the Platform do not yet fully conform to that standard. This statement covers the QuizRace website and web application, including the public web pages, sign-up and sign-in, the quiz library, the quiz editor, and hosting, joining and playing Games, including solo play and results, in current desktop and mobile browsers. It does not cover the administration area, analytics, workspace management, account settings, replays or the scene editor.
2 Assessment and Evidence
2.1 The most recent assessment was an internal self-assessment carried out by Attensi, first on 25 September 2026 and re-checked on 2 October 2026. It combined automated testing with Google Lighthouse, manual testing of keyboard operation, focus, accessible names and roles, colour contrast, reflow at 320 CSS pixels, target size, timing, audio controls, status messages and form errors, and a review of the source code. Testing used Google Chrome on macOS at desktop and mobile screen sizes and included complete hosted and solo Games. The re-check on 2 October 2026 repeated the automated tests on the public pages, played a complete solo Game using only the keyboard while recording the messages sent to assistive technology, and re-read the source code for every finding. It did not include testing with screen readers or a hosted Game with several Players. This statement was prepared on 25 September 2026, updated on 2 October 2026, and is reviewed at least once a year and after significant changes to the Platform.
3 Known Limitations
3.1 The known accessibility barriers are: (a) answer text on the green, yellow and red answer colours, error messages and hints on the join screen, and some text in the quiz editor and side navigation, do not meet the minimum colour contrast; (b) the true/false answers shown on the host screen have no text alternative, although the correct answer is also announced to Players; (c) images in questions do not have descriptive text alternatives; (d) the avatars on the join screen do not have descriptive names, so screen readers read out technical names; (e) page titles in the web application, other than during a Game, do not describe the current page; and (f) some pages in the web application have missing or duplicate page regions, and the quiz library search field has no label. During a Game, new questions, answer results, points, race position and the end of the Game are announced to screen readers and keyboard focus moves to each new question; this has been checked in a solo Game but not yet on the host screen or with a screen reader. Each question has a time limit, set by the quiz author, of between 5 and 120 seconds. The time limit is essential to the real-time competition and cannot be extended by Players. User-created content, rapid live-game interactions and certain Third Party Applications may introduce additional barriers that are outside Attensi’s direct control.
3.2 Attensi is working to correct these barriers and will update this statement as each one is resolved. Where feasible, Attensi will offer an accessible alternative while a barrier is being addressed.
4 Feedback and Escalation
4.1 To report an accessibility barrier or request information in an alternative format, please contact accessibility@attensi.com. Where you are comfortable doing so, please include details of the page or feature concerned and the device, browser and assistive technology used. Attensi aims to acknowledge each report within five business days and will explain the next steps.
4.2 If Attensi’s response does not resolve the issue, you may request escalation by contacting accessibility@attensi.com. Users in the United Kingdom may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service. Users in Norway may contact the Norwegian Authority for Universal Design of ICT, part of the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency.
